Water Seed

Water Seed is a New Orleans-based collective whose music is a fusion of funk, rock, hip hop, and jazz — a sound they have coined "Future Funk." Characterized by tight, intricate arrangements, powerful horn sections, and vintage groove energy, Water Seed's live sets are built for movement.

The group has earned a Billboard Top 20 placement and the prestigious Big Easy Award for Best Funk, cementing their status as one of New Orleans' premier live acts. With over 15,000 Instagram followers and a growing international fanbase, Water Seed continues to push the boundaries of genre.

Their 2025 release Digital Fantasy (14 tracks, Bandcamp) showcases the full range of their sound — from soulful ballads to high-energy funk anthems. The band is currently working on their follow-up project Safe Space Session Two, coming soon.
